PRODUCT DETAILS

High-Strength Material Structure

Engineered Polymeric Composite for Demanding Conditions

Manufactured from high-grade polypropylene (PP) resin, the biaxial geogrid is thermally bonded to a continuous filament or staple fiber nonwoven geotextile. This composite construction combines the high tensile modulus of the geogrid with the filtration and separation capabilities of the geotextile. The material exhibits a maximum elongation of 13%, ensuring dimensional stability under sustained traffic loading. With minimum carbon black content of 2%, the product offers excellent UV resistance and long-term durability in exposed applications.

Superior Reinforcement Performance

Improving Bearing Capacity and Structural Stability

The biaxial orientation provides balanced tensile strength from 20 kN/m to 40 kN/m in both machine and transverse directions, effectively confining aggregate materials and distributing applied loads. The stiff ribs and high-strength junctions create a mechanical interlock with fill materials, generating immediate stabilization of soft subgrades. By reducing vertical stresses transmitted to the underlying soil, the geocomposite minimizes rutting and extends pavement service life. Tensile strength at 2% and 5% elongation ensures early load engagement and controlled deformation.

Effective Separation and Drainage Function

Optimized Filtration with Subsurface Drainage Performance

The thermally bonded nonwoven geotextile layer provides reliable soil separation, preventing intermixing of subgrade soils with granular fill layers. This filtration function maintains aggregate layer integrity while allowing groundwater to dissipate through the drainage plane. The composite design eliminates the need for separate geotextile and geogrid layers, streamlining installation and reducing material handling costs. The geotextile mass per unit area can be specified at 120, 150, 180, or 200 g/m² to match project-specific hydraulic and mechanical requirements.

Engineered for Construction Efficiency

Cost-Effective Solution with Rapid Installation

Available in 3.95m and 5.95m roll widths with 50m lengths, Combigrid enables rapid deployment over large areas with minimal overlap requirements. The lightweight rolls facilitate manual handling and placement without specialized equipment. This all-in-one solution reduces aggregate layer thickness requirements, delivers immediate traffic-bearing capacity, and significantly accelerates construction schedules. Proven performance in boggy substructures and poorly graded materials makes it a reliable choice for infrastructure projects worldwide.
